Battery
Discharge Bulletin - Porsche
has posted minimum standards for battery discharge,
such as the draw amounts from your car's clock
and the interior lighting. If the draw exceeds
the requirements, then it may result in a dead
battery.

Educating
the Quality of Gas - These
days, it is very important to use the best
gas possible, especially with a forced-induction
car. Use only at least 93 octane gas. Detonation
and engine damage can occur if lower quality
of gas is used, especially in older non-computer
controlled cars. - Brian.

Cylinder Throwing Alternator Belts -
This is caused by either a misalignment
between the pulleys (almost always the alternator
is at fault), or a bent pulley (also usually the
alternator). It has become more of a problem since
the belts, originally a 9.5 x 965mm, have been
updated to a 10 x 965mm. The new belts do not sit
in the pulleys as deeply as the old ones, and the
profile of the "vee' is not same. So any misalignments
cause the belt to be thrown at a higher RPM. This
often shows up only at the racetrack. Please note
that the 9.5 x 965mm belts are no longer available.
